Define the concept of “norms” using a combination of the textbook and your personal understanding of the concept.
Identify at least two norms you have observed in your culture. Provide sufficient description to identify the expected behavior and the people to whom this expectation applies. (Note: Norms do not have to be universally agreed upon, just shared by a group of people.)
Slide 3: Conflict Theory
Define conflict theory using a combination of the textbook and your understanding of the concept.
Connect one example of a norm to the perspective of conflict theory.
Select one norm and identify how the norm is different in expectations or enforcement for different people based on social factors (e.g., gender, ethnicity, age, etc.).
