Introduction
The United States of America was formed in 1776, breaking away from British rule, the framers chose to build an effective state among nations. When the Articles of Confederation proved to be weak, in achieving this goal, a new document known as the U.S. Constitution was born. The U.S. Constitution is known as a “living document” and many of the major events in American history have been tied to this document. Our form of government was created, our branches of government were outlined, and our civil liberties and rights were solidified through the process of forming this document.
The U.S. has seen times of trial and triumph. In this assignment, you will utilize the knowledge which you have gained throughout this course to build a timeline of some key moments that changed the face of politics and shaped our laws. Some of the key events on this timeline have been assigned but most will be self-selected. Have fun with this assignment as you work through the culmination of knowledge you have gained throughout this course.

Create a timeline that explains the principles of the U.S. government and the principles it is based on. All timeline events are optional, however, please make certain to include the following:
Articles of Confederation
Article I Section 8: U.S. Constitution
The Bill of Rights and Civil Liberties
The New Deal
Create the timeline in either in Canva or PowerPoint.
Include at least 5 slides in the presentation (more slides are encouraged).
Review for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and APA style.
Cite and reference all resources use in the assignment and add them to the end of the presentation. You should include a minimum of two references.
Review the rubric to identify all required criteria and elements.
