Description
Outline the scenario and include:
- Which staff were involved
- The environment the event took place in (Acute, Community, PVIS etc)
- What happened?
- What was the outcome for the person being cared for?
- What was the outcome for the staff (for example, what was their reaction/s to the leadership style?
- Identify elements of leadership observed (for example, leadership style/approach, Risk Management; Accountability; Decision Making; Delegation; Conflict Resolution; Change Management
Critical Analysis of Leadership Style
Select two of the leadership elements you identified above. With reference to academic leadership literature and leadership theories, critically analyse the elements of leadership you identified for examination in this section.
- Justify the conclusions you made in the introduction
- Analyse the effectiveness of the approach in the event described
- Discuss potential alternatives to the way the situation was lead
- Evaluate the potential effectiveness of these in relation to the event described
Analyse the concept of accountability for all staff involved in the event described
